New Server Name?

A big issue when googling for our server is that when you type in “The Vanilla Experience,” it does not show our server at the top; it shows mods, plugins, forums talking about vanilla game play, etc. We need a name to stand out. This post does not necessarily mean the name will be changing - just browsing some ideas.

Ideally, with the abbreviation of TVE 😉 but not required. Let’s hear them!

Talos being another name for Tiber Septim, one of Skyrim’s Gods… and since I’m a dragonborn, youkno.

If I remember right, Talos is also the name of a gigantic bronze automaton which guarded like, Crete or Athens or some place in Greek mythology.

Red not too familiar on that sorta stuff. But what about TalosRealm? TalosCraft’s domain is already taken - would still like to hear a few dozen more name suggestions!

I’m still thinking of a real name atm but what if we have a theme that incorporates the name of the different servers.

Cypress: cone-like tree (nature above surface) green
Cobalt: silver-ish metal (underground) silver blue
Crimson: strong red color (could refer to nether) blood red

Each of these names describe a key element of minecraft. They also have 2 syllables.

charcoal
cinder
citrus
chestnut

idk just throwing up some potential names that fits with the other names.

Fase_Vincor Right, could be an interest idea - the server names are just that; server names. We’re looking for a new network name - and the server names will remain the same. It would be cool to keep a network-name that’s closely related to the different server names we have.

Since we’ve got the sunset staff team (each staff colour is a colour picked from a sunset) we could be like… Sunset Survival?

You could do something like with Twilight since its similar to a sunset. Twilight Network or Twilight Valley Experience , etc.

I was a fan of having “Talos” in the name. Perhaps “Talos Build” since our members have built all sorts of cool projects on each of the servers? Or perhaps “Talos Variety Experience” since it sticks with the acronym and highlights the difference in the servers.

Spartan_Blue Typically creative servers have the keyword Builds in it.

I like the name “totally vanilla experience” TVE is the first thing I see when google it … but why would I google a server I’m playing on? if I wasn’t on it I would find it on a server list (I did) or a friend would pass a url or invite to discord. maybe a good slogan would be better.. just a thought 🙂

You know.. I’ve joked about this name to myself in the past (and I’m still unsure if I want to change the Networks/servers names) but Sunset Survival sounds pretty good. From searches, all previous servers that used that name or something similar are offline/no longer alive. Sunset Survival just sounds like a server that is very friendly/welcoming, a chilled out place, wouldn’t give the false-sense that the server is not 100% vanilla. Name came to me when I redid each ranks colour, as all staff rank colours come from a picture of a sunset I took off Google, and colour picked different spots in the picture. No clue - would still like to hear some more suggestions/opinions on names!
